Class Structure
Dance, Tone & Energize with Freestyle Aerobics
Each Freestyle Aerobics session typically lasts 50 minutes, broken down into four segments. A freestyle aerobics class at Wellness Works uses the same choreographed routine for around 8 weeks, so that you become familiar with the moves and feel a sense of progression and achievement week-on-week:
Warm-Up
A choreography of gentle flow stretches to warm the body, mobilise the core and begin to lengthen the muscles, ready for the class, sometimes combining Kundalini yoga to lift your energy.Â
Barre Work
Move to the barre for ballet-inspired pliés, leg lifts, and small, controlled isometric pulses. Expect an eclectic, discotheque inspired playlist that keeps you smiling and pushing yourself through the burn!
Mat Exercises
Transition to the floor for Lotte Berk, Pilates- and yoga-influenced movements. Strengthen and stabilise your full body while maintaining a dance-inspired flow.
Cool Down
Wrap up the session with deep stretching and mindful breathing, leaving you relaxed, centred, and ready to take on the rest of your day.
We provide all necessary music and basic equipment. Just bring your energy, enthusiasm, and a smile!

Our Instructor
Esther White
Esther is a qualified Exercise to Music teacher and Boxing instructor. She is a Fitness Assessor and Examiner, so is responsible for training and qualifying new fitness professionals at industry level. She runs her own fitness business and is a fitness choreographer and fitness stage presenter. With many years’ experience teaching group exercise classes, Esther’s classes deliver great instruction and are dynamic, fun, and inclusive – anyone can join and feel enough challenge to give a real sense of progression and achievement week-on-week!
